Muragala

Muragala is an ornament seen in many homes, which is a replica of Guard Stone in the 11^th century. Guard Stones are sculptural. Masterpieces found mainly at the entrances to ancient temples and places. The figures are carved on a flat base of Granite and appear to emerge from a background like a raised picture. Guard Stones in places sacred and sovereign reflect an aura of mystic importance and influence about them thus deriving great interest and attraction.
